Don’t forward spam, even to us

As “Your IT Department”, we at Innovative Concepts are here to assists with any computer, network, or printer problem. This includes email. Here’s a little tip to help us help you deal with any spam related issues.

Anyone with an email address is familiar with spam emails. And it’s likely that the longer you’ve had your email address, the more spam that you receive. Most ISPs and other email providers are doing a good job of keeping up with the definitions in their spam filters, but the spammers are always looking for new ways to get through the filters.

We know that some of the spam can be pretty offensive. However, please don’t forward any of it to us or anyone else as an example of what you are receiving. Some spam filters look at your outgoing email as a way to make rules on what you send and to whom, so that they can refine the rules on what to let through.

Worse, by forwarding the spam to another party, their spam filter may mark you as a spammer and block all of your emails to them. If you need help dealing with spam issues, please contact us.
